MathHack (formerly Cards of The Magic Tower)

The hardcore numerical card battle game returns with a brand-new identity!

MathHack is a hard-core, deterministic card game all about pure numerical calculation, strategic planning, and underdog victories. We’ve kept the bone-dry mathematical core while giving the game a complete visual overhaul, cleaner UI, and upgraded battle feedback.

What’s New in Version 1.2

Clean UI & Visual Polish

  • Rebranded Visuals: We've adopted classic DCSS visual assets to give the game a better look that keeps the focus strictly on tactical deck manipulation.
  • Enhanced Battle Feedback: Combat feels more vivid than ever with shaking animation, quick red flashes upon taking damage, and real-time damage value pop-ups.

Streamlined Rules & Better UX

  • Header Score Display: Effortlessly track both player and enemy scores with a newly designed top-bar score view that adapts to different game modes.
  • First Attack & Evaluation Icons: Text indicators have been replaced with intuitive icons, letting you assess enemy threat levels and turn priority at a glance.
  • Refined Scoring Terms: Re-organized definitions for Round Score, Detail Score, and Mix Score modes for your reference.

The Hardcore Core: Zero RNG

Zero RNG (maybe added in future versions for the DLC etc)—just raw mathematical tactics:

  • Pure Calculation (No RNG): Actual Damage = ATK - DEF.
  • HP Retention: Winning cards return to your deck with their remaining HP and ready for later battles.
  • User Panels: Auxiliary tools like the Card Tracker (Monitor), custom Settings, and Seed Input systems remain fully active with upgraded interfaces.

Our Next Big Leap

Version 1.2 marks our transition toward a full commercial release! Because we are transitioning to prepare the game for market launch, this will be a long-term stable build. But at least you can try this version and give out your feedback.

Try out the update, join our community, and let us know what you think!
